Join Foodies Festival for our 12th year of Foodies Festival at Inverleith Park at 10am, with top local chefs including Daniel Ashmore, new Head Chef at The Pompadour, Neil Forbes, Head Chef at Café St Honore, Mattia Camorani, Executive Chef at G&V Royal Mile Hotel and Kaori Simpson of Harajuku Kitchen, Edinburgh’s best sushi and Japanese street food chef. To celebrate the return of Foodies Festival, each chef will be coming along to Inverleith Park tomorrow morning in their chef whites with kitchen props, delicious dishes, joined by the lovely little 2-year-old Isla who will be popping on an apron and chef’s hat to represent our brand new Kids Zone and Kids Cookery School. Every man and his dog is welcome at Foodies Festival, so our little Foodies Festival spaniel Ruby will also be joining in the fun to represent our furry friends who are welcome (on a leash!) at Foodies Festival this weekend.

Foodies Festival founder and director Sue Hitchen says “This year is set to be our best year yet, with an incredible line up of Scotland’s favourite chefs and the next Great British Bake Off Judge Prue Leith. We’re really excited about our brand new Healthy Living Zone in association with Lululemon, with a timetable of free yoga and wellness classes each day along with our live music stage championing the UK’s best unsigned bands.”

Foodies Festival is delighted to announce that Prue Leith, the new Great British Bake Off judge set to fill Mary Berry’s shoes alongside Paul Hollywood on Channel 4’s new series, will be joining Edinburgh Foodies Festival this summer. Visitors to Edinburgh’s Foodies Festival will be given the chance to ask Prue their questions about her illustrious career, cooking tips and of course, insight into the Great British Bake Off.

Foodie fans can look forward to a celebrity and Michelin-starred chef line-up in the Chefs Theatre this summer, with Scotland’s top chefs showcasing their culinary skills and inspiring the audience with their delicious dishes. There will be a focus on culinary wellness, with farm-to-table dishes, sugar-free cooking and ‘feel good’ food trends. We’re delighted to announce that MasterChef Winner 2016 Jane Devonshire will also be cooking up her family favourites and showing the Foodies visitors how to make gluten-free healthy, comfort food.
