[vc_row el_id=”faq”][vc_column width=”1/6″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_empty_space][vc_accordion active_tab=”1″ title=”Frequently Asked Questions”][vc_accordion_tab title=”Where do the tours leave from?”][vc_column_text]Your Scottish Tour are based in Edinburgh and can collect your from your accommodation or cruise ship port.  Collections are usually within a 20 mile radius of Edinburgh.  Contact us and let us know where your accommodation is and we will let you know if we can arrange to collect you.[/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=”What’s the best tour?”][vc_column_text]All our tours are private and bespoke and designed around you.   You won’t share your journey with strangers when you book with Your Scottish Tour.  We will let you know the options for your tour and then we will build a perfect tour for you to maximise your time in Scotland.  We are flexible with our itinerary and can spend more time at one stop and less at another.  Remember it’s  Your Scottish Tour.[/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=”What will we see on the tour?”][vc_column_text]We absolutely love Scotland and want you to experience it too.  All too often when you arrive in a new city you can feel a bit trapped.  You know that you want to explore outside the city but don’t want to hire a car or have the hassles of arranging inflexible bus or train travel.  Your Scottish Tour gives you the freedom to explore.  We will be your driver for the day, showing you the very best Scotland has to offer.  The tours will provide a mixture of landscape, culture, food and history – we think Scotland’s Big 4!  What we see is up to you – with our help we will make it a trip to remember.[/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=”Do tours operate in winter?”][vc_column_text]Yes, our tours operate all year round.  Winter in Scotland can be stunning with crisp clear days and snow topped mountains.  Sometimes it’s very cold and also wet so make sure you wrap up warm and take a waterproof jacket with you.  Some of the historical sites open reduced hours over the winter but we will build this into our tour.[/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=”What’s included in our tour?”][vc_column_text]Tour prices include all petrol, driver/guide, tolls, car parking charges.  accommodation, entry fees and food and drink are not included within the tour price unless individually noted within a specific tour itinerary.[/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=”Are we allowed to smoke?”][vc_column_text]In Scotland smoking is not permitted within the vehicle or any of the venues we visit.  Don’t worry though, we can stop whenever you wish for a cigarette break.[/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=”How much luggage can we bring?”][vc_column_text]Our vehicle has a good sized boot but we recommend one large suitcase per person.  If you have more than this please advise us in advance and we can check that it will all fit.[/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=”Do we need insurance?”][vc_column_text]Whilst our vehicle is fully insured and public liability insurance is held, we strongly recommend that clients have appropriate travel and medical insurance in place with a reputable company, prior to travel.

We do not accept any liability for any loss, inconvenience or damage caused by threat of war, war, riot, civil commotion, terrorist or criminal activity, industrial disputes, natural disasters, fires, sickness, weather and road conditions, traffic delays, explosion or contamination, or any other events outwit our control.[/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=”What about health and safety on our tour?”][vc_column_text]All clients must follow the directions of the driver/guide.
The driver/guide must be informed in advance of the trip if any client has any special requirements.
Unfortunately our vehicle is not suitable for wheelchair users.
Weather conditions in Scotland can vary dramatically, even throughout a single day so clients must dress appropriately for tour itinerary.
If the driver/guide feels that it is not safe to continue a tour due to unacceptable behaviour from anyone in tour they have the right to terminate the tour.  No refund will be made in these circumstances.[/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=”Can the price of our tour change?”][vc_column_text]Prices quoted are based on the Tour length timescale and up to a maximum of 150 miles per day (unless more specified within the tour).  If we go over the tour time and mileage as a result of clients wishing to see more and travel further an additional payment will be due of £35 per hour.[/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=”What happens if we need to cancel?”][vc_column_text]Your Scottish Tour refund policy in the event of cancellation of tour by client is as follows:

More than 40 Days prior to the trip:  Full refund
20-39 Days prior to the trip: 75% refund
10-19 Days prior to the trip: 50% refund
2-9 Days prior to the trip: 25% refund
1 Day or on the day – No Refund
For our 2,3 and 4 day trips a 20% deposit will be taken to secure the dates at the time of booking with the balance due prior to the trip.  Should cancellation occur before 40 days prior to the trip a full refund of the deposit will be made.  If the cancellation happens after 40 days prior to the trip no refund will be made.

If you are visiting as part of a cruise and the cruise ship can’t dock in Edinburgh a full refund will be made.

In the exceptional circumstances that Your Scottish Tour requires to cancel the Tour, clients will be informed immediately and a full refund will be made. You will also have the option to rebook an alternative tour.[/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=”What about other operators?”][vc_column_text]Your Scottish Tour does not accept any liability for negligence or issues during our visits to 3rd party properties.[/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=”What is the governing law and jurisdiction?”][vc_column_text]These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with Scots law and any matter or claim arising shall be dealt with only by Scottish Courts.[/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=”Is our data safe?”][vc_column_text]In order to process your booking and to ensure that your travel arrangements run smoothly, we will need to use the personal information that you provide as (such as your name, address, contact details any special requirements etc. We may also use the information provided to keep in touch with you and to advise you of the companies, products and services (including special offers) from time to time. In addition we may pass this information on to third parties such as accommodation providers or other suppliers relevant to your booking. We will not however pass your information on to anyone who is not involved in providing or arranging the provision of any product or service related to your booking.
